Lesson 17 — Mastering EPLAN Terminal Numbering & Advanced Filtering
🛠️ In this session of the EPLAN P8 comprehensive training (new version), we focus on EPLAN Terminal Numbering, a critical feature for real-world electrical projects.
📦 We begin by working with terminals in electrical schematics and learn how to select and filter them as single-ended or double-ended connections using EPLAN Terminal Filters & Sorting.
🔍 You will understand the importance of advanced filtering and learn to define AND/OR logic for precise terminal selection. These techniques are essential for efficiently managing large projects with hundreds of feeders and terminals.
🧩 After selecting the terminals, we demonstrate how to assign structured identifiers to each terminal strip using the EPLAN Terminal Strip Navigator. This helps maintain an organized, professional project structure.
🔢 The session then covers automatic terminal numbering in EPLAN, showing how to configure settings to ensure a clear, logical numbering sequence.
✏️ We also teach how to retain identification letters like PE while automatically numbering the terminals, producing sequences such as PE1, PE2, PE3, and so on.
⚙️ Additionally, you’ll learn how to add prefixes and suffixes to terminal numbers, making the numbering fully customizable and suitable for professional projects.
