Lesson 04 — Introduction to EPLAN Project Pages & Multi-Line Schematics
In this fourth lesson of our comprehensive EPLAN P8 course, we focus on building a solid foundation for creating professional EPLAN projects.
This session is designed for beginners and introduces the core concepts of electrical panel design in EPLAN.
First, we explore different EPLAN page types and learn how to choose and set up the right pages for multi-line schematics. Understanding page types is essential for organized and professional project documentation.
Next, we go over essential initial settings to prepare your EPLAN project workspace, including adjusting the page grid and enabling options like “Snap to Grid” for precise drawing.
We then introduce a sample project featuring the PDP001 distribution panel. The various components of the panel are reviewed graphically so you can understand the overall panel layout, including power and control circuits.
This lesson builds the groundwork for professional EPLAN project workflows. In upcoming sessions, you will start hands-on design of the sample panel introduced here, applying everything you learned about EPLAN page types and multi-line schematics.
